Special-purpose fabrics are textile materials made using special processes, possessing unique functions or decorative effects not found in ordinary fabrics. They are diverse, covering multiple scenarios including industrial protection, civilian decoration, and DIY crafts. Common categories include:

 

Functional Protective Special-Purpose Fabrics: These fabrics use fibers such as cotton, polyester, and aramid as raw materials. Through special processes, they are endowed with composite functions such as flame retardancy, antistatic properties, and three-proof (water, electricity, and gas protection). Weights are typically between 150gsm and 300gsm, using twill and other weave structures. They are mainly used in industrial protection scenarios such as oil fields, petrochemicals, and power plants, and can also be used in civilian fields such as medical and outdoor sportswear.

 

Flame-retardant fabrics: Primarily used in welders' work clothes, they can slow down the burning rate and maintain structural stability in high-temperature environments, providing workers with crucial escape time.

 

Antistatic fabrics: Suitable for precision instruments and the petrochemical industry, they can avoid safety hazards caused by static electricity.

 

Three-proof fabric: Possesses waterproof, oil-proof, and stain-resistant properties, commonly used in workwear in the catering and food processing industries. Stains are easy to clean with daily use, and it can withstand boiling water washing.

 

Acid and alkali resistant fabric: Used in corrosive environments such as chemical plants, effectively preventing the penetration of acids and alkalis.

 

Composite Process Special Fabrics: These fabrics combine two or more fabrics using six special composite processes, including internationally mainstream hot melt adhesive powder coating and polyurethane roller coating, to form new functional fabrics. The width can generally reach 145cm, achieving multiple performance enhancements.
