Basic Cleaning Principles

Prioritize following the washing label instructions. Choose the appropriate cleaning method based on the fabric's special processing properties to avoid damaging its special functions, decorative effects, and fiber structure, thus maximizing its lifespan.

Cleaning Methods for Different Types of Specialty Fabrics

Functional Specialty Fabrics (Flame Retardant, Three-Proof, etc.): These fabrics often have special coatings. For daily cleaning, gently wipe local stains with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent. Avoid prolonged soaking. Do not use strong alkaline cleaners or bleach to prevent damage to their special functions.

Decorative Fabrics (Flocking, Embroidery, etc.): Electrostatic flocked fabrics should not be rubbed or brushed. Gently wipe with cotton yarn dampened with alcohol. Do not wring while wet; allow to air dry naturally. For specialty embroidered fabrics with sequins or ribbons, first vacuum up surface dust, then gently brush with a soft brush, avoiding pulling on decorative parts.

Natural specialty fabrics (silk, wool, etc.): Silk should be hand-washed in lukewarm water not exceeding 30℃ with a neutral detergent and air-dried in the shade. Wool should be dry-cleaned first; if hand-washing, use a special wool detergent and avoid vigorous rubbing.

Composite fabrics: Such as velvet curtains, soak in a mildly alkaline detergent and gently press to wash. After washing, place at an angle to allow the water to drip off naturally to maintain the fabric's smoothness.
