Under normal circumstances: High-quality natural linen canvases, in an ideal environment with stable temperature and humidity, and protected from direct sunlight, can be stably preserved for decades. Hand-painted oil paintings completed with mineral oil paints can have an overall lifespan of 300-400 years or even longer.
At the very least: Ordinary cotton canvases, under normal storage conditions with humidity between 40% and 60% and avoiding direct sunlight, can also maintain their good condition for over 50 years, without easily becoming brittle or experiencing glue separation.
